2017 ABIE Award for Technology Entrepreneurship Recipient, Laura Mather
The Anita Borg Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on the advancement of women technologists, announced that Laura Mather, founder and CEO of Talent Sonar, will receive the 2017 ABIE Award for Technology Entrepreneurship. The award will be presented as part of the 2017 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, held October 4–7 in Orlando, Florida.
Laura created a comprehensive, scientific platform that raises the bar on recruitment, ultimately delivering higher quality candidates to any organization. The technology helps mitigate unconscious bias in the workplace and advance the careers of women and people of color. Throughout her career, Mather has made it a priority to advance women in technology and nontraditional fields. She was an Everwise mentor, guiding high-potential proteges through their business ventures and developing their leadership capabilities.

The ABIE Award for Technology Entrepreneurship recognizes women who are builders of innovative, groundbreaking, and game-changing technology startup ventures. Award winners provide strong role models for young women by turning technologies into viable businesses, transforming markets, and creating change.
